A month has passed since the end of the season and in the meantime lots of work has been done on the green and on planning for the new season. A full newsletter will follow next month but for now a few important updates:

CLUB PRESENTATION LUNCH - Hopefully you are all aware that the date has been moved to 18th November 2018.

AGM - 27th November 2018

AVIVA COMMUNITY AWARD 2018
Last year we used the £300 received from AVIVA to buy the cushions for the seats and benches. They were very well used over the season. This year we have applied for £1000 to allow us to buy some "junior bowls", coaching aids and other equipment including bowls lifters. The 400 projects which have applied for £1000 with the most votes as at 21st November (voting closes on 20th November 2018) will automatically get an award of £1000.

Voting is going smoothly (unlike last year when there were issues with the website) and it is easy to do by going onto the following link:
https://community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/view/4-692

Anyone with a UK email address, who is 13 or over and who lives in the UK can have 10 votes all of which can be used to vote for Biddenden Bowls Club -Equipment for young players. So please vote yourself and ask friends and family to support us as well. (We will be emailing out the link which you can forward on to others who you think will help!!). I (Kim) have asked siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbours, my beautician (!) and friends. They have all been happy to get involved and I anticipate securing well over 200 votes from them.

I think we may need to get at least 2000 votes which is very achievable - just 200 people need to give us their 10 votes. We are already over 15% of the way to 2000!!
