Final of the Club Triples Tournament - 8th September - Winners Kev, Colin C and Ashley.

The delayed final between Kev, Colin C and Ashley versus Keith, Ron and Jeannette (Ashley substituting for Ken) was a hard fought contest. After a slow start Keith's team battled back well but finally lost 17 - 11 over 18 ends. Well done to the winners. The Competitions Secretary has asked it to be noted that at approximately 2pm a rare phenomenon occurred as Colin was seen to send a bowl speeding past the jack and into the ditch!!

Looking after our Green, Buildings and Surrounds

The team working on Tuesday Mornings has grown with 11 members coming along this week plus others working on other days!! Please remember that work will need to go on throughout the winter and the more people that help the easier it is. There are jobs suitable for all!!

BRUSHING - every morning (unless we have frost or snow) the green has to be brushed. At the moment we have gaps in the brushing rota which need to be covered. It takes anything between 30 minutes and an hour to brush depending on how quickly you walk and what rests you need. If you can commit to one day a week or to provide cover for the regular sweepers or if you want to know more about what is involved please talk to Jim or Paul.
