Our Committee-Who's Who

The committee elected in November 2022 is a good mixture of ability, experience and interests. However we are lacking in numbers and at present are working without a full compliment of committee members. Our numbers, tho small, includes experienced bowlers as well as bowlers who are enthusiastic but newer to the game which reflects our membership. As Chair I am committed to the committee running in an open and transparent way for the good of the club and the individual members (both playing and social). Feedback and suggestions from members will always be welcome and can be made to Jeannette or any member of the committee.

Chair Person -Jeannette - Our clubs ambassador who comes from a family well use to the game of bowls. Our club is lucky to have her wealth of experience in Bowls matters and club life.

Secretary - Joy Glaysher - Started bowling in August 2019 and has quickly acquired a love of marking and has slipped into the role of secretary with aplomb.

Treasurer & Membership Secretary - Kim - joined the club in April 2017. She achieved her level 2 Coach Bowls award in 2021 and has consolidated her coaching skills with both juniors and adults at our club and at Ashford Indoors.

Committee Member- Paul - took up bowling and joined the club at the Open Day in April 2017. He is an active member of the Green Keeping Team and is now a qualified bowls umpire.

Fixtures Secretary - Brian - We have gained a very experienced bowler from Tonbridge who has already shown his knowledge of fixture skills whilst taking on this demanding commitment.

Welfare Officer - Barbara - took up bowling and joined the club at the Open Day in April 2019. She has also proved her worth as our Ladies day co-ordinator. (Our main fund raiser of the year)

Competitions Secretary -Martin - we welcome back this experienced bowler who rejoined the club in 2022 . Apart from organising our competitions he is also the Secretary of the Weald League.

Committee Member -Shirley - who started bowling August 2019 overseas the Care Of Garden Squad. (C.O.G.S.) and is happy try her hand at many tasks for the club.

Committee Member - Alex - A keen and ever willing member of our clubs committee who actively supports all our functions.
