2 pleas for help!!

LEAVES

The leaves are falling thick and fast on the green, into the ditches, and onto the surrounds. Our very small green keeping team (and especially Jim) have been working incredibly hard to collect and store the leaves into the new leaf bin. HELP is needed. A few more people on Tuesday mornings for a few hours to help collect the leaves will free up the green keepers to mow and do other work on the green.

If you can't come on Tuesday an hour or so at another time would be great!!

John Mayne Junior School - BIG WRAP - Friday 8th December

For the past few years members of the club have helped out at the Big Wrap. This takes place at the church when small presents purchased on behalf of the children for their families and pets are wrapped up and labelled. Wrapping paper, scissors, selotape and labels and of course the presents are provided.

It is great fun and a lovely atmosphere. Tea and coffee provided!! This is great PR for the club in the villlage and a chance to see a lot of the children who came along to the John Mayne sessions at the green last summer.

We need a few more people to help - There are 3 time slots: 9 to 10.30 10.30 to 12 and 13.00 to 15.00. Jeannette will be there from 9 to 12. If you can help please can you let me or Jeannette know.

Finally looking forward to seeing lots of people at the quiz on Saturday!!
