Finals Weekend 4th & 5th September

FINALS WEEKEND 4th and 5th SEPTEMBER - with a BBQ starting at 4pm on Sunday 5th September.

The Club “FINALS WEEKEND” is an important time in our bowling calendar as it is the culmination of all our Club Competitions. The FINALS of the nine events held this year will take place across the weekend. It is brilliant that 17 different members have qualified for one or more finals!! It is a great time to enjoy some competitive bowling and support the players. Hopefully lots of members (past and present), family and friends will be able to come along for at least part of the weekend. There will be tea, coffee and home baked cakes available during both days.

To “round off” the weekend there will be a simple BBQ on Sunday afternoon starting about 4.00pm to celebrate with the bowlers, relive games played over the season and of course to socialise. Members, family and friends are invited to come along. Hot Dogs, Burgers (in a bun of course) along with onions and condiments will be available - it may even be possible to add cheese and/or bacon to go with the burgers!!

NO CHARGE will be made for the BBQ but it hoped that those attending will generously support the Raffle and perhaps make a small donation to help cover the costs. We have a great hamper as the “star prize” (not claimed in our Ladies Day raffle) along with a small supporting cast of prizes!

There will be a small selection of soft drinks available (very reasonably priced) along with tea and coffee but please feel free to bring along beverages of your choice - perhaps a bottle of wine or a can of beer!

It would be very helpful for the Catering Team if you could let them know if you are intending to come along to the BBQ, and with how many, so we can ensure adequate supplies are in place. Please put names and numbers on the notice at the club house or email biddendenbowlsclub@gmail.com
