Paul has provided the following summary of yesterday's very successful fun skills afternoon.

26 members took part in the event including 5 new members (3 of whom bowled for the first time last week!!)

The Winners were:

SPIDER - JOHN WISEMAN

TARGET - MARTIN GILES WITH A MAGNIFICENT SCORE OF 19

DRAWING TARGET - SUE MECKIFF WITH A MAGNIFICENT SCORE OF 16

NEAR THE DITCH - 6 PEOPLE ACHIEVED THE BEST POSSIBLE SCORE BOWLING THE 4 LENGTHS IN ONLY 4 BOWLS - Well done Ashely, Hugh, Veronica, Linda S, Martin W and Sean.

It was great to see so many members taking part and displaying some really good skills, including our 5 new members. I am sorry it took longer than anticipated and that the second groups waited an hour to get onto the green - all learnings for future events and all feedback, ideas and suggestions for future events are very welcome.

The weather stayed fine (just) and I hope that everyone enjoyed it and feels inspired to practise their skills at rollups. The targets (purchased with funds from the AVIVA grant) are available if members want to use them.

Big thank you to Kev for helping to organise and run the event. Thanks also for participating in the "cash sweep" which raised £15 for club funds. The lucky winner of £15 was Laurie although credit must go to Sue Meckiff who chose his word/number!!

Paul Buggins - competitions secretary.
